On 4 May Alena will join the Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra and maestro Kasper Zehnder to perform Korngold’s Violin Concerto at the International Forum Hall.
Performing in no fewer than seven concerts over a two week period, Alena Baeva will begin her own ‘Tour de France’ with the Orchestre national des Pays de la Loire, performing Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1 in Nantes (3 & 4 April) and Angers (5 & 8 April) with Maestro Josep Pons. Her travels will then take her to Northern France where she will be performing Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.2 in Lille (12 & 13 April) and Gravelines (14 April) with the Orchestre national de Lille and Maestro Jean-Claude Casadesus.
Following her acclaimed debut at the La Folle Journée Festival in 2017, Alena Baeva returns to Nantes on 2 February to perform Korngold’s Violin Concerto with the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Dmitry Liss. Alena will also collaborate with pianist Vadym Kholodenko for a recital performance on 3 February of Korngold’s Violin Sonata and Bloch’s ‘Three Pictures of Chassidic Life’. Joining the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Alena will perform Brahms’ Double Concerto with Julian Steckel conducted by Boian Videnoff. Performances are on 8 & 9 February at the Slovak Philharmonic Hall, Bratislava.
